Marleen Renders
Marleen Renders obtained a PhD in Political Science at Ghent University (2006). She wrote her PhD thesis on "'Traditional' leaders and institutions in the building of the Muslim republic of Somaliland".
Currently, she is a Visiting Assistant-Professor of African History at the KUB University of Brussels (Belgium) and a Teaching Fellow on Non-Western Law at the Dept. of Public Law at Ghent University (Belgium). Previously, she worked as a research fellow at the Centre for Third World Studies at Ghent University, as a research officer at the Field Diplomacy Initiative (FDI) in Antwerp (Belgium).
